(3-93) National Cemetery. Corinth Civil War Self-Guided Tour Guide: In 1866, this cemetery was established by Act of Congress. Remains gathered from battlefields and skirmish sites in Northeast Mississippi and adjacent Tennessee, as well as from scattered camps and hospitals in both states are interred here. The interments represent 273 regiments from 15 states. Three Confederate soldiers are buried near the flag pole. The cemetery is still active
