This photo was taken March 16, 2008 at the location of the interpretive marker for the 67th Indiana. The visitor center and flags are directly in front and behind them the Confederate troops poured fire into the Union troops and charged across the open ground

The 67th Indiana Volunteer Infantry was led by Major Francis Sears as part of the 4th Division under Col. William J. Landram of the 13th Army Corps. The sign is not too far from the museum/visitor center at Mansfield Battlefield. The 67th Indiana was at the spearhead of the Union forces as they traveled along the Old Stage Road, now Route 175
