(October 2011) Enlarge Grave of Robert "Bob" Ford, "The man who shot Jesse James." Following the assassination in Jesse's home in St. Joseph, MO on April 3, 1882, in hopes of claiming the $5,000 reward, Ford ends up in Creede, Colorado working in a saloon. He is assassinated there on June 8, 1892 and buried. Later, he is re-interred in his home town of Richmond
