(November 2013) Enlarge Prison Canyon, from which the ranch takes its name, stems from when the Confederacy took over Camp Verde, they held the Union soldiers prisoner in a nearby canyon. The canyon walls were so steep, there were no fences put in to keep the prisoners confined. Unfortunately the original sight is on private property, just passed the gate, and is under a man made lake |
