(April 2010) Enlarge From Civil War to Civil Rights...two areas of history that Selma is known for. The carved wooden item in the bottom of the display case is a tool that was used by Confederate Arsenal workers to move cannon as they were being worked on. It is an authentic surviving artifact from the Selma Arsenal. A photo of the Arsenal ruins is displayed next to it. This is on loan to the Visitor's Center from the Old Train Depot Museum

(April 2010) Enlarge Elodie B. Todd-Dawson Wedding Gown: This is the actual wedding gown and accessories that Elodie B. Todd-Dawson (Abraham Lincoln's Confederate Sister-In-Law) wore when she was wed at the young age of 13. This is on loan to the Visitor's Center from the Old Train Depot Museum
