Dedication
June 27, 2009
Confederate marker dedication of 40 Confederate headstones at Maplewood Cemetery, Durham's City Cemetery. Through the years the cemetery had been desecrated, primarily the Confederate section, but the local Sons of Confederate Veterans Camp-Lorenzo Bennett-Robert Duke replaced the broken markers. The goal is to replace the rest of the more than one hundred gravestones. |
