(November 2007) Enlarge College Street, Lenoir. At this location in April 1865 Stoneman's Raiders were guarding prisoners from in and around Salisbury. In the presence of the soldiers townspeople tossed food to the prisoners

     

(November 2007) Enlarge St. James Episcopal Church, Lenoir. In April of 1865, St. James Episcopal Church was used as an officers headquarters and the fenced church grounds served as a prison
