Beyond the Fence 4. Battle for the Bridge. Marker above: (Sisney House) Also referred to as the "Howell-Ray" house, this building was here early in the 20th Century. It was often rented to others during the course of its history. This is the site of the birth of legendary Cherokee wood carver Willard Stone, whose work can be found in museums across the United States |
