Tied to the North Cavalry field and the battle of Hunterstown was the battle in the afternoon of July 2nd for Brinkerhoff's Ridge. Located off Hanover Road and just a mile west of the East Cavalry field where Stuart met Gregg's Union forces on July 3rd, Brinkerhoff's Ridge was fought by the 2nd Virginia under Stuart and various cavalry units from New York, New Jersey Pennsylvania and Maine
