Texas Memorial

(2006) Enlarge The Texas Memorial is located at Tour Stop 13 at the Railroad Redoubt and honors all Texans who fought in the Siege of Vicksburg.  Erected in 1961, the memorial today features a live yucca plant, native to Texas, in front of the statue
 
The eleven steps leading up to the memorial symbolize the eleven states of the Confederacy
