Mississippi Monument

One of the largest in the park, the Mississippi monument was dedicated on November 13, 1909. The bronze work at the base of the monument was fashioned in Rome, Italy and added in 1912.
 
This monument was also damaged by lightning in 1951 and repaired in 1954.
