Sap-roller at head of approach faced by a Confederate 6-pounder rifled gun in ditch in front of lunette and perforated three times by its shots. Union Position Tablet at left center: Farthest advance of the 8th Missouri, in the afternoon assault of May 22. Site Marker in background near trees: On the line of Giles A.
