(September 2013) Enlarge Interpretive Panel: Attack on the Massachusetts 6th at Baltimore, April 19, 1861.
 
This was the site of a street fight between Baltimore's citizens and the Massachusetts's 6th Regiment on April 19, 1861. The President Street Station served the Philadelphia, Wilmington and Baltimore Railroad. The 6th Regiment was in Baltimore as part of Abraham Lincoln's call for 75,000 volunteers to put down the rebellion.
