North Carolina Civil War Trails Marker for activities in Carolina City, North Carolina during the War Between The States. Along Highway 70, prior to the Crystal Coast Visitor Center, there was a sign to announce this marker, which is located in the back of the visitor center.

Carolina City has largely sprawled into Morehead City, North Carolina. The marker recounts the position of Union Brigadier Gen. John G. Parke's troops and includes a war-time photo of him.
