Nothing remains of Eutaw, Limestone County, Texas, but there is an old Eutaw cemetery where many CSA veterans and veterans of other wars are buried.

Co "K" of the 12th Texas Cavalry was formed here as mentioned on the marker, but there was also the following:

Muster Roll of Robert C. Robison's Company of Infantry in Reserve, Beat #7, 19th Brigade/Limestone County Texas Militia Transcribed by William Bozic on June 20, 2006. All names are spelled exactly as written and are in the same order/number as the original. Researchers should consider non-standard & phonetic spellings (ex. Surnames #4 "Furguson" is probably Ferguson and #30 "Morcan" is probably Morgan )

The list of men from this community who served in the Texas State Troops and CSA is extensive so this should never be considered a complete list from Eutaw.

(February 27, 2011) Eutaw Cemetery

Many men from Co "K" 12th Texas Cavalry as well as many other Texas and CSA regiments are buried here and are too numerous to mention, but the grave of a War of 1812 veteran is a stand-out. There are Mexican War, Seminole War, WWI, WWII, etc.

This photo was taken February 27, 2011 in the afternoon as a rainstorm approached. The cemetery has been heavily vandalized. A few VA markers for CSA veterans are in place, but most of the other remaining gravestones bear no mention of service.
