Directions: I-75 Exit 20. Travel hwy 64 towards Cleveland. Travel 6.3 miles. Take the Hwy. 64 East ramp Ocoee. Turn left past the ranger station onto Forest Service Road 77

(July 12, 2009) Enlarge This lone Confederate memorial sits high on Chilhowee Mountain. It was built to mark the location of a skirmish on Feb. 15, 1865, and the death of Confederate soldiers. The tragic story of the fight and those who died on the mountain is etched into the stone
